Montfort Youth Centre (MYC)in Malaysia
Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia produce and distribute more than three quarters of the world’s supply of rubber. The entire supply chain of the German rubber industry is therefore heavily dependent on the Asian economy. Secure long-term prices for German industry can therefore only be secured if these countries achieve political, social and economic stability. For this reason Ambelt® supports the Montfort Youth Centre which is a Christian charity based in Malacca, Malaysia. This amenity offers young people a two-year training program including accommodation. It gives young people the opportunity to integrate into society and to improve their career and general prospects. Any investment in education, however small, pays off. Such investments always help in terms of developing more stable societies and countries that are more shock-resistant, which in the current climate is more important than ever. Ambelt® has therefore decided to donate to the Montfort Youth Centre 20 cents for every ten meters of conveyor belt it sells. For further information please visit www.montfortcentre.org.
Soziale Hilfeverband Strausberg e.V., Brandenburg
The nonprofit association Soziale Hilfeverband Strausberg e.V (SHS e.V.) has supported socially deprived families since 1991. One of their programs includes educational activities that aid adolescents in eventually starting a professional career. In addition, the association supports families with handicapped children and teenagers through one-to-one care and by offering a variety of leisure activities.
Ambelt® highly supports the charitable projects of SHS e.V. Because both companies are located in the Märkisch Oderland area, the regional bonds also play a huge role in their partnership.
Due to the fact that financial opportunities are always limited, SHS e.V. depends heavily on volunteering and donations to implement future projects. The installation of a professional daycare team for younger children is among the current plans of the association. To ensure successful implementation, additional funds are still required. Ambelt® is very happy for this opportunity to help.

CO2-neutral shipping
Anybody can contribute sustainably to climate protection. Ambelt® is well aware of its environmental responsibility, particularly because it is an industrial business. This is why the company, in collaboration with Deutsche Post AG, has decided to ship all mail CO2-neutral.
Deutsche Post AG has set a goal to improve the CO2-efficiency of all corporate activities until 2020 by 30 percent (in comparison to 2007). The company is attempting to lower CO2-emissions of each shipped letter or package, as well as each used square meter of storage by 30 percent.
Nevertheless, the development of CO2-emissions during the process of shipment is inevitable. To offset their emissions, Deutsche Post AG financially assists international climate protection projects.
Ambelt® supports this effort because sustainability and environmental protection play a major role in its corporate philosophy.
