15.05.2012: Singaporean University ranks Ambelt® high for its sustainability program

One of the leading Universities in Singapore with focus on sustainability management recently approached Ambelt® to perform a detailed analysis about its corporate sustainability activities.

In co-operation with the Singapore campus of James Cook University, the efforts being made by Ambelt® in contribution to social, environmental and economic sustainability have been examined. The results of the report, incorporating the continuous changes in those three dimensions that are monitored by various indicators, display an outstanding performance by Ambelt®. Especially in regard to the social and environmental dimensions Ambelt® was able to convince the selection committee and received honors for excellent achievements.

In particular their expenditures for corporate social responsibility programs that are closely linked to the company’s turnover and revenue made up the analysts minds. Ambelt® increased those over the past four years by 109% on average and thus contributed a lot to the development and support of education, health and social well-being.

Environmentally Ambelt® primarily impressed the officials with parameters regarding energy savings on the operational level and the reduction of pollution. The work space (m²) is now not only used more efficiently in comparison to the previous years, but simultaneously suggests a lower level of energy consumption per capita. By means of analyzing the data about the company’s flight frequency the results displayed also that Ambelt® demonstrably reduced its rate of CO2-emissions by 40.4% on average in this sector.

26.04.2012: Ambelt® Shows Corporate Responsibility for the Environment

Anybody can contribute sustainably to climate protection. Ambelt® is well aware of its environmental responsibility, particularly because it is an industrial business. This is why the company, in collaboration with Deutsche Post AG, has decided to ship all mail CO2-neutral.

Deutsche Post AG has set a goal to improve the CO2-efficiency of all corporate activities until 2020 by 30 percent (in comparison to 2007). The company is attempting to lower CO2-emissions of each shipped letter or package, as well as each used square meter of storage by 30 percent.

Nevertheless, the development of CO2-emissions during the process of shipment is inevitable. To offset their emissions, Deutsche Post AG financially assists international climate protection projects.

Ambelt® supports this effort because sustainability and environmental protection play a major role in its corporate philosophy.

15.03.2012: Ambelt® expands its corporate social responsibility

The nonprofit association Soziale Hilfeverband Strausberg e.V (SHS e.V.) has supported socially deprived families since 1991. One of their programs includes educational activities that aid adolescents in eventually starting a professional career. In addition, the association supports families with handicapped children and teenagers through one-to-one care and by offering a variety of leisure activities.

Ambelt® highly supports the charitable projects of SHS e.V. Because both companies are located in the Märkisch Oderland area, the regional bonds also play a huge role in their partnership. With the donation of a high three-digit Euro amount, Ambelt® wants to guarantee the association is able to maintain its work in different social hot-spots. Because financial opportunities are always limited, SHS e.V. depends heavily on volunteering and donations to implement future projects.

The installation of a professional daycare team for younger children is among the current plans of the association. To ensure successful implementation, additional funds are still required. Ambelt® is very happy for this opportunity to help.

The horse fences can be ordered for the price of 90 Euro-cent per meter (the total length of the fences varies, depending on the availability of excessive material; the width generally measures 60 to 100 millimeter).

Ambelt®, the supplier of rubber conveyor belts and accessories, continues its social commitment in Malaysia. Like last year, Ambelt® supports the education of local students with a training program and the guarantee of accommodation for two years. Thanks to a co-operation with the Monfort Youth Centre in Malaysia, Ambelt® repeats its donation of a high three-digit Euro amount to the program. The exact amount results from a simple calculation: for every ten meters of belts Ambelt® sells, the company donates 20 cents to the Monfort Youth Centre. That way, our clients are directly involved in the process of donation.
